The Capacity Specialist is responsible for recruiting and keeping our partner carriers satisfied in regards to the coordination of shipments. The position involves a great deal of communication and team work in tracking and tracing the carriers before and after a shipment has been picked up. Additionally, it requires communication within the team to update customers, shippers, receivers via phone, email and TMS(software). A high comfort level with computer systems is necessary to manage and update multiple client systems. The position involves prioritizing hundreds of incoming customer email requests and responding when necessary, while also making outbound carrier recruitment calls. Keeping the team informed of changes, issues and completion is key.
Strong communication and problem solving skills are a must with a desire to learn processes, build carrier/customer relationships and enjoy dealing with a variety of daily challenges and people. This is a fast-paced environment making the ability to multi-task a necessity when handling many transactions at a time and communicating with teammates while simultaneously working with carriers/customers.
Business casual environment. Work hours approx. 8am – 5pm, Monday-Friday. Salary + benefits.
